View from the Magpie's Nest Exhibition
Albany Entertainment Centre
29 October - 26 November, 2021

In the lead up to Breaksea’s performances of Caretaker of Lost Selves and View from the Magpie’s Nest on the 26 November, Breaksea presents The View From the Magpie’s Nest Exhibition at the Albany Entertainment Centre. The exhibition, curated by Jen Mitchell, is part of the Breaksea Festival. The exhibition features the Nest Project, a community built sculpture, which Spirit of Play Community School, Great Southern school students and community members have collaboratively built to symbolise our collective sense of home. Members of the community will be able to add to the Nest during the exhibition between the 29 October - 26 November. Pop down to the Entertainment Centre during the Exhibition to  make your contribution to the Nest and if you are a teacher and would like to involve your class, find out more about our education program here. Drawings and paintings created during the multi-arts creative development processes between October 2020 and 2021, will also be on display with some beautiful films documenting the creative processes by Rob Castiglione.
